You may be able to recover your 'old' nic (ticc888) as Hot Copper put out a message on theis subject, just the other day. Check it out. But congrats on that No1 post on the mpd thread.

You are correct about Google adwords and in Q2 results, they paid out $500M to partner sites who take them from Google.

Looksmart are in the process of bringing Publishers & Meida Co's together (LOOK have assemble 10M articles already) whereby "content" will have "Contextual" ADS place on each page, being similar to Adsense.

Many Publishers are already signed up and Search Engine ASKJ (now owned by a Major Media Co) looks to have joined Looksmart, in a combined effort.

ALL site taking Content will have a massive amount of Articles of interest in their search results, as Publishers will be "sharing" all their content. Revenues will be 'split' accordingly. A Network effort, so to speak.

It, (This concept) is only in it's infancy, but will start to grow quickly. They will be giving the likes of Yahoo & Google (+ MSN) a real, "run for their money", before long.
