Just saw the sci-fi movie "Loopers" and one thingthat stood out...

    Just saw the sci-fi movie "Loopers" and one thing
    that stood out was that the hitmen from the future
    were paid in bars of silver.
    The main character had a safe and stored them as a
    store of wealth, then exchanged them into fiat when he wanted to spend them.
    Funny how science fiction quite often illuminates the future.
