Lord Howe Island to install solar, wind and storage to cut back diesel

One Step Off The Grid
Lord Howe Island has finally called for tenders for the installation of solar, wind and battery storage to meet its long-held goal to reduce its reliance on expensive and dirty diesel generation by two thirds and focus mostly on renewables

This project looks pretty much like several done by Energy Made Clean in Western Australia. EMC are well known to ARENA from previous projects using grants from them.
Lord Howe Island is a high profile destination that would be ideal for raising awareness of EMC outside of WA.
I think it was Tasmania Hydro who provided the wind element on Rottnest Island. Perhaps they would want to collaborate again with EMC by putting in a joint tender for this one as well.
