To me this sounds like there might be another side to that story...
- What no unconditional approval?
- What the Developer wouldn't give a couple of weeks grace (with or without interest)?
- Surely if it was only a size issue any half decent broker could sort it out?
For me this part makes me wonder: "The science student said" science student... serviceability...
