they may have less than a major impact on the bottom line but Read would have taken the mug on for the bulk of it (the only bets quoted were on favourites, not outsiders) and IAS will be held responsible for the lot by the courts with no responsibilty being able to be passed on to the bookies with whom Read bet back as those other bookies will have had no way of suspecting that the bets were with stolen money.
