5rizen ill make comment but the t&cs of the arrangement would need to be known.
1 Are they obliged to by shares in the company.
2 Will new shares be issued to the new partner
3 If they were to own 50% of Artimis do they just pay cash to MEO

    All are possible outcomes -
If they wished to show an allegance (or for a greater purpose) they may buy into MEO (s1)
They could just put cash into the project if they wished to only take part in Artemis and do not want any other arrangements with MEO (s3)
2 I would say requires a more formal arrangement/partnership. They wouldnt issue shares for the sake of it unless part of the arrangement gave the co a controlling interest in MEO (via shares obviously). Again this would be part of a greater goal of the co.

If you believe the conspiracy theories on HC, given the change to the structure of MEO in regards to the accepting of a takeover (if it presents itself) all three scenarios could result in this!

Note my explanation is very broad and the actual conditions of the agreement would outline what is happening (as opposed to speculation from an investor sitting on his macbook!).
