I disagree with a number of negative posts about GBE during the last few weeks.
40mil odd will add a lot of value to Globes projects. About 15mil is needed to finalize the BFS on Kanyika, which leaves Globe with a flagship project as well as 25mil cash to enhance other projects; including Muambe. Muambe is currently valued at 0, this will change by early next year when the current exploration results are released.
Another point to consider: Why would ECE pay 41mil to mothball Globes projects (according to some posts)? This makes absolutely no strategic sense. ECEs long-term strategy is to diversify production to sources outside China. ECE sees the potential in Globes projects as well as the opportunity expand their operations in Africa through Globe (they are already active in Namibia). Their March 2010 agreement to obtain exploration rights for Iron ore in Brazil further clarifies their intensions of global expansion.
What is more probable, is that ECE will add value through their initial investment and eventually either make an offer for the remainder of Globe; or make it part of a listing in Hong Kong as they have indicated in the past.
Short term punters should gamble on something ells.
