dragging others down with them?

The whole thing has taken on greater dimensions that I ever meant when I said (often said),

"Well may we say God Save the Queen, for nothing will save the Minista assisting. (Meaning Bowler).

It reminds me of a computer game where the character approaches a large drain with a sign warning: "Do not jump in. You will die"!

And like Bowler argued, in his s.111A decision re RIO mob v Cazaly, it is too huge a price for RIO mob to pay (loss of Shovelanna) for such a minor oversight.....and we could almost here Bowler crying.

So Mr. Carpenter, don't you think banishing Bowler, throwing him down that drain, is too huge a price to pay for his relatively minor oversight? After all you encouraged him to talk to the devil.

So you must also throw yourself down the drain of despair that leads to the swamp of stench for leading an otherwise blameless man to his doom?

And the reason state parliament attracts second rate minds? Because all the good State Powers, taxation, corporations, industrial relations have been sucked up by Canberra.

Soon they will not even be able to decide what is doctrine taught at schools.

So they're all like 3rd fiddle players. Glorified local government officers.

Useless, pathetic creatures that are more likely than not to have crawled out of that very same drain.

And that is why the voter must not expect fabulous and charismatic leaders in State Parliament. The blander the better I say.

Because when only dumb ones run for state parliament (as they do) and they appear smart and likeable, they are putting in 120% effort to appearing that way. And that effort robs them of all their energy so when they apply themselves to the task of governing, there is no petrol left in the tank.

And a politician with ambition for power extreme must hate themselves for becoming a Premier. Raw ambition like that can never be satisfied until they become Prime Minister of Australia! Which they realise means they are by definition, FAILURES before they start.

Not to mention the big black drain China is today falling into. How do we say goodbye in Chinese? While holding on to any solid object so we don’t follow them.
