Why is there so much focus on the shorters?

They are the minority group in the share register, they are the underdog. If the 'longers' were really as bullish about this stock as some of you try to make out, the stock would rise because buyers would be overwhelming sellers. That's not happening. The markets across the world are smashing out multi-year highs and still this thing sits towards the lows of this relentless downtrend. Besides, all those who short the stock have to buy the stock back to realise their profits. Net buying always equals net selling; that seems to be forgotten here by a few sometimes!

Oh, its not the shorters, its the manipulators, I hear you say...

Well no-one seems to have a problem with manipulation when it supporters their investing agenda (i.e. pumps) but it suddenly becomes a problem when the stock falls (i.e. the inevitable dumps).

And trust me, people think the shorters are nervous or anxious, they're sitting on monumental profits as opposed to monumental losses. I think they'd be feeling quite happy with themselves!
