Further to C2's google earth pics yesterday in an effort to understand why our acreage has not been drilled as extensively as the general area to the north was back in the 1940's.
Have attached a survey plan below that supports those google pic's to clearly indicate that the farmers boundaries were in fact the limit of the drilling undertaken by the majors. Which could be interpreted as not necessarily the extent of the East Coalinga Oil Field but the limit of authrity to drill, anyway thats an interpretation worthy of considering.
On the plan you'll also note cross hatching in one direction identifies the HBP lands and our Gatchell Lands are delineated as hatching in the other direction.
So it appears to me that we are in a fortunate position to be not only drilling this leased area just to the south of the Chevron oil field, but also down to 8,500ft in an unexplored leased that contains the Gatchell zone rights which is in fact mapped as a separate field. 20mmbbls of recoverable oil sounds plausible.
