Mostly from the far right from the looks of many of them. The compensation win by the Iranian family is probably unjustified and is also probably the harbinger of many more such claims to come. The Howard government's quick out of court settlement is an admission that their detention centres were very poorly run and now we are all going to have to pay the cost of their folly.
No good seeking to blame Labor for this when Howard has been there for ten years. No good saying Labor is softer on refugees anymore, actually I think they were harder than the Liberals are because they see immigrants as a threat to Aussie workers while the Libs see them as a source of cheap labour.
I really hope the Labor Party gets it's act together again soon and becomes credible so we can have some real democracy in this country again.
