"(I know the directors because I work in mining, not because I have any personal relationship. Compliance, including procedures of meetings is my area of expertise.
As I previosuly stated I am abstaining, not maybe, but abstaining.)"
Lotsofphos,
As for you abstaining from voting, I thank you, but, one would assume that if you are advising the company in the procedural of meetings, to be fair, one would also stay out of the equation.
Now, to be fair to us all, why don't you also recommend to them that, instead of taking and counting the votes by a show of hands, they should take the votes by the total amount of proxie votes instead.
Now, that would be a fairer way for all the shareholders, whom more than likely cannot afford the costs and expenses involved in the travelling to the other side of the continent to vote, especially when some of them are already facing huge losses on their investement.
I am very confident that the majority of the shareholders lives in the eastern side of the continent, and it would be unfair to call a meeting where not many shareholders, would be able to attend.
Now that would be a lot fairer and, I, would take this as a Democratic expression of feeling of shareholders in general, and I would wholeheartedly accept the result and the verdict. THE MAJORITY HAS SPOKEN!!!!
I am also sure that many other posters here, would agree, and follow this sentiment.
Now lotsofphos, that is a challenge for you. Go and talk to the management and see what you can do.
I am a shareholder in GGY and I repeat, I will abide by the result if it is done as I suggested, and if it is done in a PROPER DEMOCRATIC WAY, whereby everyone, not just a few attending a meeting, will have a say in the rsult/outcome.
Please reply to my comments/suggestions because I am very interested.
If that is done, as the saying goes, we can bury that hatchet and continue on our daily chores.
If the shareholders and posters here aren't happy with the result, they can then either choose to continue holding, or cut their losses and get out.
ANYONE ELSE HERE TO COMMENT??
Good luck,.............Buddy
