Why doesn't any body refer to the stellar performance of banks combined with their dividends to date!!!
They have outperformed the market time and time again. Who cares if they drop 5%-10% a year!! You are still getting a 5% dividend and fully franked at that!!!
Now if you reinvested that 5% back in the bank shares each year every year for 20 years you would have more than double the amount of shares you held originally, at a 55% discount (assuming a 5% discounted dividend re-investment scheme) and still paying 5% a year.
YOU CAN'T LOSE!!!!!!!!!!!
