Stood outside my local store from 5.30-5.50pm. 10 walk-ins, 4 purchases. Store next door is undergoing renovations and time was next to close (eleventh customer turned away while staff vacuuming). Customers all female and those I saw walk in appeared to do so spontaneously - head is looking about, something catches their eyes and suddenly they veer in. Small sample size obviously - curious to know if anyone else has tracked some conversion rate of some sort. Will do a middle of day count sometime soon and report back.
