If someone dies in a war situation to protect you freedom, does that count?

Whereu, I accept God's judgement on matters, not the spin put on things by this world. Which side does God support when Catholic fights Catholic & Protestant fights Protestant as happened in WW1 & 2? We don't really have to wonder! Here is the clear answer:
(1 John 3:10-12) The children of God and the children of the Devil are evident by this fact: Whoever does not practice righteousness does not originate with God, nor does the one who does not love his brother. For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another; not like Cain, who originated with the wicked one and slaughtered his brother. And for what reason did he slaughter him? Because his own works were wicked, but those of his brother were righteous.
It goes back to that "tree of the knowledge of good and bad" again.(Genesis 2:17) Only God has the right to decide who should live and who should die. Not man!
