Nor do I need the comfort blanket of faith based belief.
Investigation and discovery of the World as it really is, provides enough interest and fascination to last a lifetime.
If a God or gods exist, they are not letting on about it. If they exist, they remain securely hidden away from human perception (and scientific instruments) in their so called realm of the gods, Mt Olympus, Heaven, Hell, or whatever.....
So, given that there is no observable. testable, verifiable, falsifiable evidence for the existence of a God (whatever that is) or gods (whatever they are), what reason is there to believe it, God, or they, gods, actually exist?
Is it for the comfort that a belief in God provides?
