That is an outstanding summary,cso1, of where GIP is at present. Just a pity more people aren't interested in following this stock, although its long history has no doubt left a few bruised investors behind.
The German financial negotiations could be one of the last pieces in the jigsaw and a few big buyers last week, esp. in London, suggest others are thinking the same way.
Really thought this stock was ready for a run up on Friday when a big buyer came in at the start of trade, but the rest of the day was quiet.
I wonder what will happen when a financial deal is negotiated? According to the last Annual Report, the company has 233 million shares, with the top 10 holding almost 50%. Will these longstanding supporters continue to hold or will they bail out at the first sign of a sp resurgence?
There are also 43 million options expiring in Dec this year (9 cents to convert) so the company has the chance to pick up about $4 million if it plays its cards right. But GIP often struggles to meet deadlines....!!!
