This 'low-level' tag is appalling. How does the low-level person feel today, loyal to the company and working his hardest? More likely to tell them ..... off, I'd say.
The correct word to use was 'underling'. It is not offensive, and not demeaning to the actual underlings. Some people are actually proud to be called underlings.
Some people would think this is about nothing, but in my study of human psychology as it applies to business customer service, there are few things more important. If you get your army on your side, you can move mountains.
Can you imagine Richard Branson talking about his 'low-level' employees?
