Zinc, untraded in rings, was bid up 1.6 percent at $1,708, having hit a three-month high of $1,767 on Tuesday.
The second-best performing LME base metal this year has been boosted in recent weeks by expectations of tighter supplies. (I wonder what the best performing metal is?)
Aluminium gained 0.8 percent in official trading to $1,494.50, tin added 0.6 percent to $15,800 and lead was bid up 0.9 percent at $1,827.
