The base metals are for the most part consolidating after the short-covering run seen last week, nickel is the one metal continuing to push lower, while tin is at the other end of the spectrum as it has been pushing higher, lead and zinc are holding up well, copper and aluminium less so. We expect more consolidation over the rest of the week as the market waits to see China’s mood when it returns on Monday.
