For anyone looking for a read, I couldn't get away from Alexander Elder's "Trading For A Living". He's a psychologist turned trader. It won't teach you a trading system, but will give you a view of what we are part of (as well as a brief on heaps of classic TA patterns).

One important thing he mentioned was that the traders goal is to trade well, and the money should follow.

Funky and Mitta are sticking to their system, and if you're going to trade you have to stick to it and not be swayed by headlines or the "herd". (slowly reading VSA guys).

Really, read at least the first chapter or two of Elder (must be a download somewhere). Will be more beneficial than most of the reading on here :)
