On 5/12, 11/12, 18/12, the Co reported 1000' of drill pipe was to be retrieved from the well.
On 2/1 the company advised that the "lost section" (no length given) was to be retrieved.
On 10/1 it advised over half of the drill pipe (749') had been retrieved and that 742' was still to be retrieved. How did they miss reporting the additional 500' of drill pipe on 3 separate reporting occasions over 2 weeks and then not advise on the 4th report that they had suddenly realised that 1500' of drill pipe was in fact in the hole. Then almost 1 month and the 5th report on after the mishap casually advise that half (749') has been retrieved.
We shouldn't be surprised if in fact less than 1500' of drill pipe was left in the hole and retrieval is hours away if not finished. Then again maybe 2000' of drill pipe was in the hole and we're another 3 weeks away from retrieval.
Co reporting to date has been poor (casually inacurate)and appear to be evasive of the facts.
Hope that's not down ramping to true believers.
