The difference with the other chocolates is that for the same shelf real estate they have $50 value sitting there to sell and don't need restocking or display poorly when half are sold. We are shipping fragile air filled product and Walmart Staff , 3 shipping legs and all that handling can't be helping breakages.
Yet to see a aisle end display in store nor one with the santa hats so no idea how widely distributed they are let alone how well they will sell especially after Christmas? YOW desperately needs massive increase in sales to catch up on lost opportunity of delays , more promotion and I can't see that currently as otherwise we would see it in production numbers and until they scale up I don't think the margin will be what has been mentioned. It is a premium product being sold by downmarket volume store with out promotion. Hard to promote when stores have single shelf space with 12 available so aisle ends are needed now and restocked always while you pay for the extra real estate
Not sure if the sell down was options related or just realisation that the current numbers are behind schedule but can YOW management get serious momentum before losing first mover advantage ?
