if you needed any clarification of how lost cost tgs is producing it's copper at Kipoi, just have read through ALTONA's (AOH) most recent presentation. it is doing well at bringing costs down to $1.69 and on page 15 of the press it shows it in comparison to other copper producer's on the ASX. tiger is the lowest cost producer at almost half that of the next best being PNA and OZL.
if you want a comparison to west africa - look at DML - have been working hard to get costs down but still over $2........
maybe Cathay might be talking to TGS now they have abandoned DML and the DRC issues have calmed somewhat.......
unbelieveable value in TGS at the moment - producing 37ktpa with an estimated $6000 per tonne profit - at 60% ownership that is $133,200,000 - watch the cash flows in 2013 - should be enough to cover 50ktpa expansion, debt may not be needed to be drawn.
market cap is just over $200 mill. GOOD LUCK everyone.
