There is also what might be considered a shooting star two days ago (the small candle with a spike on top of it).
Those are considered bearish but generally only when they occur after an extended rally. They are not considered shooting stars if they occur well into a correction.
So some of these patterns are open to interpretation and none can be considered full proof.
In this case the "shooting star" did warn of a price drop, but the price didn't have far to fall to the start of the rally because there was no extended rally.
It could just as easily turn back up again now which is what I am looking for.
I will be watching for a break of the down trend line for confirmation.
Markets are nervous again so short term is difficult to be confident about.
