Yes I can see where I have not quite explained myself. What I am saying is taking a capital gain on options before the expiry will null their future gains (unless of course exercised). Which is why I feel more comfortable with the heads and is why I am exercising some options now and will exercise all of them when the remainder are issued. Frankly, I'd hate to put a number on it….but I'd say at least 95% of options are never exercised. In many years of trading, I've only done it once myself….
