Made some more thinking about the options and my conclusion is that even though I'm very far overseas, and Degiro also is a foreign company they still have to use a brooker somewhere to trade with Australian stocks.
So if e.g. Degiro uses a Australian broker to handle trade with Australian stocks then you qualify according to ARL's terms.
The questian is what happens when/if I want to exchange my options to SH, and how I do it. But suppose that is a later problem.
