Wonder whether they might interest a larger miner to put up the capital requirement - particularly if they now have a mechanism to ensure landowner support for operations.
Gold still looks investable, and there looks like another new big player in the region with it speculated that Chinese gold giant Zijin might be the buyer for Barrick Gold's stake in Porgera (in PNG).
