yes you are correct, you need to add purchase price to execution cost. Current price for lpdoc is 1.3c, execution cost is 2c, 1.3+2=3.3c. yes this is more than head stock amount but the price is then fixed, when the head stock gets above this price you will always be in the money. buying options usually gives you an opportunity to buy more now pay or sell later. note that when it gets close to the execution date the price of the options will start trailing by the 2c, but for now it's supply and demand that sets the price.
