Good luck with your punt on LPD. It's your money so none of my business what you do with it. If you have any spare time you might want to read up a bit on portfolio theory and dollar-cost-averaging. Or maybe just be lucky. There's plenty of stories of fortunes made by going all in (of course many more of financial ruin).
But just a couple of stats: for many years Forbes magazine ran a discussion group among some of the top stock pickers in the US every 3 months. After a decade someone went back to see which of the stock pickers had the best success rate. The winner was a bloke called Marc Faber (who is an extreme contrarian) and his success rate was slightly above 50%. Also, research shows that over time 80% of active traders lose, 10% break even and the remaining 10% cream it (obviously only that top 10% bother posting on hc).
And don't be fussed by penny: give them a saucer of milk or a ball of yarn to play with and they will put their claws away.
