The UAE's bid was accepted on Thursday night.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted after the announcement that the UAE would put everything towards making Cop28 a success.

They've signed onto a number of pledges, including announcing "plans to become an important player in the hydrogen fuel industry." This bodes well for our plans to replace our boiler's use of natural gas with hydrogen, enabling us to drop our emissions to "an industry leading 3t CO2-e/t LCE."

The Emirates' bid to host Cop28 explains their media releases last Monday on the signing of our Musataha agreement (3 weeks after the fact) to deliberately coincide with the start of Cop26 in Glasgow. We were their poster child.
They will not only put on a show for the world in November 2023, but will be ambitiously active in climate change, tech and green initiatives during the 2 years leading up to it.
What better place for our Phase 1 plant to be? Can we all please watch the press like a hawk to see if they have further battery supply chain plans, leading possibly to assistance with and encouragement for a Phase 2? AJIMHO
