I appreciate what you are saying as to Cup and Handle...Head and shoulders reversal pattern not meaning much.

From my experience, Head and shoulders reversal pattern is mainly used for the top of a share price or index like asx 2007..2008. I had margin loans and around one million dollars on the table. Head and shoulders saving me from bankruptcy un like many other people who had margin loans who didn't know what they were looking at.

Cup and Handle is not used for forecasting tops. It is only used for forecasting bottoming pattern before a major break occurs to the up side. One or three year chart is needed to make a guess as to what is going to happen.
