I wouldn't call Sal De Vida North junk.
To me it seems that POSCO have been seeking the right location to operate their direct extraction technology and didn't go well at Olaroz with LAC nor at Terra Cotta. (They had little to no lithium there)
It comes down to impurities, and of which Sal De Vida has very little which is likely to work well for their process.
I don't think we have heard the last of this arrangement...
FMC's spin of later this year might answered more questions regarding Salar del Hombre Muerto.
