I well take your point, from my observations of using similar analysis, and taking the changes in the T20 - as pointed out by in4apeny and others- there is a nascence change where interest is developing.

I track the rolling average (12 month) On Balance Volume and it is showing a build-up of volume at low prices. This is to be expected, as more can be bought now per $ value. However, people usually don't buy unless they can see value.

Currently, buyers appear to willing buy in late 2019, rather than when at the 2018 period (heavy net sellers) and the start of the year where they were net sellers.

And in the USA, it may be too early to call, but the leaders in the Lithium sector such as SQM, ABL, LIT, Livint

These, and other encouraging reports suggest that the sector could be on the turn, however I must caution, on previous expressions of optimism I have come a cropper due to being 'blind-sided' from an unknown unknown as Dick Cheyney once called coined this phrase, I believe.

If this is the turn-around then the next few years will be very rewarding. Another encouraging point to note is "Tesla shares soar after crushing 2019-third-quarter earnings" and the stock rally is costing short sellers $1.4 billion. It's been noted that some of those heavily shorting TSLA is 'Big Oil' and some Auto firms connections.

There two types of Tesla short sellers, those who have shorted the stock for a long time -with much more conviction and staying power; and the newer shorts, who are more momentum-based and more willing to exit a losing position. While the first group is relatively short-squeeze impervious (see the above connections), the second group is much more susceptible to stock price-based buying and selling.
