@bugeye23 this is way off topic for an LPD share price thread, but nobody disputes that the earth's climate has changed over time. This is demonstrably true.
Arrogance has nothing to do with knowing that the volume of carbon dioxide in a container increases the retention of heat. That was discovered 170 years ago. Then about 130 years ago someone connected the dots and figured out that too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would have the same effect: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenhouse_effect
Comparing the modern scientific understanding to a time when the Catholic Church ruled over science and decreed how the world worked based on the whims of a religion is misguided and flat out wrong. That you're trying to make that claim from a personal computer or mobile phone which can instantly connect you with information from around the world thanks to advances of modern science has enough irony to kill a horse.
The point isn't that the climate was static and humanity has come along and changed it. The point is it was already moving in one direction and we have accelerated it. What would have taken a few millennia is now happening in centuries or decades. And yes, that is because of the 19 billion or so people that have been alive in the last 120 years, and the impact of their consumption on the environment.
I don't know which scientists need to make the statements for you to believe it, but NASA seems like a pretty good source to me. They managed to get people on the moon and contribute many other fantastic scientific accomplishments, including the computer, phone and internet mentioned above, so it seems extremely likely that they know what they're talking aobut. Anyway, back to the share price chat. Market freaking out about Coronavirus it seems. Pretty strong chance that's forgotten about in a few months.
