Wow! Its clear you and Pro havent reaĺly learnt anything about life.
Nothing is certain.
So, maybe you need to stop people buying houses because they could go down in value but, then they could go up.
stop them from buying gold or shares because they could go down or the could go up.
I lost hundreds of thousands in the GFC, but I got it back, because I didnt panic an cry or sell.

The point is, because neither of you Im assuming have lived through anything more difficult than a 25% drop in your holding you need to let people make their own decisions.
