    That is so true Stock1234. Like most of us now, I'm at that point where my wife is so over market investment that I'm more fearful of her wrath than I am of market panics.

    From my viewpoint, it's rare to get these kinds of buying opportunities. As I pointed out earlier, I saw this as a similar event as that which occurred in the 1987 crash, it lasted a short period, and then bounced back.

    This latest panic, though serious enough, is just that - Panic. The market fundamentals, that is liquidity is not over stretched funds are there, junk bonds are not yet overblown, leverage and gearing is nothing like that of the 2008-2009 crash that lasted for nearly four years before business, financial institutions, and nation states reformed their oversight of government budgeting, especially in the EU and the US.

    The disease has not yet run its course, so there will be volatility in the market, with that brings good buying opportunities. I'd say a lot of the instos and those like Warren Buffett have been ceasing the opportunities whilst the little guys thought the end of the world was ney.
