RAM loses contents if it does not have constant power flowing through it. It is not for storage, just for working memory - holding information for brief periods that is being actively processed in a powered-on device. lppdr4x seems to be just an iteration of RAM technology, not really in the same class as siox reram in any sense: A USB memory stick or hard drive that goes blank the moment you disconnect it would be no use to anyone for storage, no matter how much faster or less power-hungry it is.
