As part of the rights offer, LPD are also giving away 1 'free' option, for every 2 shares you buy.
Those options are have an exercise price of 3 cents and a 2 year expiry. That means that sometime before November 2024, you can pay LPD 3 cents to convert each option into a share. You would only do that if the LPD share price is trading above 3 cents at the time.
You can also trade the options on market, though liquidity is usually pretty low. You can also let the options expire after the 2 year period.
