The Government has phased out the LPG subsity as from Sept 2014.

"The LPG Vehicle Scheme closed on 30 June 2014. Final date for receipt of applications was 30 September 2014. The Department of Human Services is no longer accepting applications." (Source ; Australian Government)

Ironically older cars with LPG are now fetching lower prices than those
without LPG. I guess that expensive repairs and re-certifying tanks every
    10 years is a worry .
Even though fuel excise is being phased-in on LPG, it is still half the price of
    ULP.

PS: this post is not about EVs or racing cars........ho-hum..... MM
