The government has broadly supported LPI with multiple approvals, even under the new government. I think they/Willy is pushing hard for a bigger involvement from the government (probably a mistake given how useless codelco is).
They have also rolled back a tender due to environmental issues - which they could have done to LPI by approving the appeal against LPI but did not do.
