Whilst this may be true - they there is an element of fluffing….what is the alternative. Trying to fight the situation and getting nowhere until such a point to try and collaborate. That is why the management pulled the court cases knowing that a PPP is the way that it will be done - they have been angling for that for some time.
LPI own the old code - supreme court ratified that those protections are still in place. LPI would be running a plant for stage 1 - can the salar support multiple operations (ponds ect) - I don’t think so, but I’m not an expert.
The way I see the PPP working is LPi run and manage their own affairs on stage 1, they also manage the production of the stage 2 and will be paid a fee for this to which LPI can add their resource.
I think an over reaction from the market without understanding g the fundamental details. But I much admit the nationalist agenda is pretty scary - it would make markets jittery
