Wouldn't be surprised if the bigger players are attempting to convince retail that they should sell.
Creating artificial sell volume across a few pips which might cost a bigger player a few thousand is nothing in the scheme of things, when they are likely trying to get hold of millions of shares for as low an average price as possible.
