As an Australian Citizen you are entitled to 50% discount on the capital gains tax if held outside super if held for a year.
I presume you have done the numbers and that selling at 27c was a good call with the tax implications and loss of benefits, IF and yes it's an IF it were to go a lot higher, say 50c after next MRE??
