Yes - it depends if the buying pressure is sustained. We are dealing with two types of buyers. The buy-and-hold buyers who see potential in the stock and are in for the long haul. Then we get the traders to see a quick way to make 30 - 40%. The traders usually have a target price and then they sell. However if buying pressure is sustained over many days the traders will hang in there. You are correct . The higher and faster it rises, the more precipitous the drop when it comes. I much prefer to see sustained slow growth rather than a rocket ship. The rockets rise high, flame out and crash back to earth.
