Hi Marsh3030, I'm a bit all over the place. I have investment properties, shares, gold and crypto. I do like to diversify.

Shares in my personal portfolio are very different from my SMSF portfolio. They have different tax rates and different purposes.

Personal portfolio are more aggressive because of my tax rate as losses can be carried forward at 47%. TSLA, funeral homes like PFP did very well for me. Actually NCK has been very good too. I predominately aim for growth stocks. They don't always win and NAG (gold mining) was a disappointment.

SMSF is different. 15% tax rate and later 0% tax rate means the strategy is different. I own property in the SMSF too. Dividend stocks are good especially if they are fully franked. BHP, FMG, banks are winners. I'm a bit excited about NGI at the moment. SPP coming up but a long term growth and hold.
