I haven’t seen any indication that the long term spod price has changed in any meaningful way. Most companies are still likely to use $1,500 or higher, despite the current weakness in Chinese spot pricing.

Also, there’s an argument that the market doesn’t care what spot price a company uses for its PEA - the market will price it based on its own view anyway.

GL1 got cheeky and used $2,500/T and the share price got smoked anyway (although that was also because of other factors like awful ROM grade, horrific strip ratio and very high capex requirement relative to market cap).
