Sigma Lithium just recruited a guy who is a buy side analyst from Bank of America as 'Executive Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Strategic Development'. Buy side analysts advise firms on potential investments - it's not clear exactly what this means for Sigma but it wouldn't be unreasonable to think it could have something to do with Sigma looking at potential acquisitions IMO.
From the ANN: "Matthew will also advise the management team on its growth strategy and new market opportunities."
However, given Sigma only had $67.1m as @ end of June this year, I'm not sure how likely it is that they would be looking to acquire another Lithium explorer/developer.
If they were to acquire somebody, it would need to be a scrip deal - unless they were to fund an acquisition via debt - which would seem fairly unlikely.
