I'm in LRS big and long term, so I don't need to clutch at straws because I'm very confident that the share price will outperform when the spot price improves. If that's years, rather than months, I'm cool about it.

My point is really for those who worry about the inevitable ups and downs. And that point is that December in the USA is like June in Australia - a time when tax loss selling occurs.

It can warp markets in the very short term - but might not this year. It can definitely hurt individual stocks - and that's where opportunities exist if you know what you want ahead of time, and the amount you are prepared to pay.
