China to remove import tariff on lithium carbonate from 2024China will remove its 2% import tariff for lithium carbonate (Harmonized System code 28369100) from the beginning of next year, according to the 2024 tariff adjustment plan announced by the country’s Ministry of Finance on Wednesday December 20.The new rate will take effect from January 1, 2024.
In the first eleven months of 2023, China imported a total of 138,413 tonnes of lithium carbonate, up by 13,196.
